The Motobilt JT Gladiator Ultimate Dana 60 Rear Axle Truss is a beefy upgrade to an already beefy aftermarket rear axle.
The kit is constructed using a heavy duty 4-1/2" wide x 3/8" thick top flange spanning between each brake rotor. The top plate has a cutout for access to the UD60 axle breather. The top plate is connected to the axle via Two (2) 3/16" thick vertical steel web plates. Both web plates are precision scribed to the unique cast housing of the UD60 axle to ensure an accurate fit & to facilitate a precision weld for added strength. All pivot plates designed for the Gladiator'sstock rear suspension arms & are constructed using 1/4" thick high-grade steel & feature keyed tabs & slots for a precision fit. Included are a pair of heavy duty rear lower shock mounts constructed from 1/4" steel plates. All plates are laser etched with a part number & we provide you with an assembly drawing which locates each plate & it's corresponding placement on the UD60 rear axle.
The integrated spring perches are designed to perfectly align with stock or aftermarket springs & feature a pair of bolt-on spring retainer plates with 3/8" Grade 8 fasteners & machined weld nuts. The integrated bump stop flats include mounting points for the stock wheel sensor brackets & allow you to add upgraded aftermarket bump stops, if desired. We have even included a pair of heavy-duty brake cable mounts.
We have repositioned the stock rear sway bar mounts by relocating it 1" rearward. This provides clearance for an aftermarket heavy duty rear differential cover, like our available Motobilt MB4010 Dana 60 Diff Cover (sold separately). We have included Four (4) 3/8" UNC machined weld nuts for easy fastening of the stock rear sway bar.
This kit is shipped unwelded. Welding is required. We recommend welding be performed by a qualified professional welder. Weight = 66 lbs
